José Carlos Leguen is renowned for his dynamic Afro-Cuban style and energetic movements. He began his artistic training in Cuba as a child and, in his youth, joined the Ballet Folklórico Babul. Later, he became the principal dancer of the Ban Rarra company in Havana, where he explored Haitian influences in dance. He then joined the Rakatan company, showcasing the energy and culture of Havana. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with the Adonis and Osain del Monte rumba group as well as the Raíces Profundas company.
